Gevalia was founded in 1853 by Victor Theodor Engwall, who was obsessed with delivering the perfect cup of coffee. King Gustav of Sweden was also very taken with the quality that he appointed Gevalia Coffee as purveyor to His Majesty and the Royal Court. Generations of Swedish Kings have since followed suit by giving Gevalia their royal seal.

Bean Selection

Gevalia selects from the highest quality 100% Arabica beans from the high altitudes of Kenya, Guatemala, Columbia and Costa Rica, where the rich volcanic soils and weather conditions are ideal for growing the best tasting coffee.

Patented Grinding Process

Gevalia grinds coffee in a virtually oxygen-free, low temperature environment which keeps Gevalia fresh and ensures consistent delivery of its full flavour and aroma. The fine grind is done through a unique grinding process and delivers more body and flavour in each cup. This allows the more subtle nuances of the individual coffee types to come through.

Hard Vacuum Foil Pouches

The aroma of coffee is extremely sensitive to air and light; therefore is best preserved in a dark, oxygen-free container. Gevalia is vacuum-sealed in golden foil minutes after the beans are ground. This seals in the freshness and the distinctive flavour.

Gevalia's Master Taster

Gevalia's very own master taster cups up to 200 samples per day to ensure the consistency of Gevalia's premium quality and taste.

Each blend is crafted from prized 100% Arabica beans and roasted to our meticulous, time-honoured specifications for flavour, aroma and character. Gevalia is proud to offer the following blends for Foodservice Canada:

Medium Roast:

A smooth full-bodied coffee with a heavenly aroma and deeper, darker taste. Available in caffeinated and decaffeinated varieties.

Dark Roast:

Our darkest roast, highly aromatic blend of Arabica beans with complex caramel undertones without a burnt or bitter taste. Available in caffeinated and decaffeinated varieties.

Espresso:

A strong, intensely flavoured choice for connoisseurs of fine coffee. Available in caffeinated whole bean bags.

Breakfast Blend In-Room Filter Pack:

Bold and invigorating with a silky smooth taste for morning enjoyment. Available in caffeinated and decaffeinated 26g filter packs.
